Thanks for your advice, retired. They are starting to sweeten. I don't know that I have the right place to store them, but I am drying them now.

Catjac, those look awesome! I had some cracks also, not sure what happened. I assume the amount of water versus heat probably.

I also appreciate the advice, I got a nice little box of sweet potatoes from the tub I planted so I put them on the racks in the greenhouse for a few weeks and brought them in last night since we're to get to freezing. I just hope I can keep them from starting to grow. I have no basement, cellar or garage but was thinking maybe I could put them in a cooler and seal it up to keep the mice out and drop them in the crawl space entry well since its covered and they might keep better. What do you all think?

I don't think sealing it up will work-I think they will rot. Retired will have the best advice. I have put them in the fridge in the past and that was the worst. They rotted within a week.

Well I guess I'll just keep them in a box in the corner of my bedroom (I keep the blackout drapes closed all the time since I'm only in there at night and its the coolest room of the house for some reason) and hopefully they'll keep

I have mine in laundry baskets right now. I've been lugging them outside to cure and bringing them in at night so they won't get dewed on. If I read this right, I should keep them in a cool dark place? Like in a closet maybe? I doubt if they will have time to spoil or sprout, since we really like them.
