Oops, I should have looked at this again this morning! And, I should have written a little more clearly.

I cannot confirm that the snowdrops were planted by the first settler. He didn't stay very long at the location altho' he moved only a short distance away.

I haven't been able to keep track of the snowdrops over all of the last 139 years .

When I was a kid I found some at the site of a long gone house just downstream, a mile or so along the Santa Rosa Creek, from Burbank's place. Also found an amazing assortment of Callas. I bet that place is all condos now where I found them...
