I got tipped once. It was a regular weekly client and Kid#1 and I had done a massive spring cleanup. I think she was tipping mainly because she was sympathetic to my son, who is handsome and a very hard worker. It was a generous tip and we split it and treated ourselves to a deli lunch and a full gas tank with $$ left over.
But generally my clients just pay their invoices which I'm grateful for, but a little extra thank you sure is fun.

They should be giving you gift at Christmas time then. I have one little old man who has been bring his poodle to me for years. Every time he picks up he puts $10 on the desk and always says make sure you give that to the groomer. I always feel like he thinks I steal tips from my staff.

I got a Christmas bonus one year.
But usually I'm long gone before Thanksgiving, so they aren't reminded of me again until I reappear in the spring.

I will get a Christmas gift from every parent. But it's funny how much they vary. There is always the one who gifts you $ or a gift certificate to a nursery. Then there are the odd ones who give me a gift certificate to a meat market? Though I appreciate each one, it always irks me when someone gives me cheap candies or cookies. They all know I exercise on a regular basis and eat very clean. I just toss it out. It ain't worth the calories.
