DH was told to be Melatonin at the Drug Store. I had NEVER heard of Melatonin sold anywhere, so I was truly surprised. I had always thought that Melatonin was what gave your skin it's pigment.
I guess if I had seen Melatonin at anybody's drug store, I might have thought to buy some... to get a safe suntan.

Melanin = skin pigment.
Melatonin = sleep aid.

If you had taken melatonin before sunbathing you would have had a good nap - and a bad sunburn!

Sonds like me once. I was reading an article that mentioned oxytocin (the so called "love hormone") and got it confused with oxycotin (the painkiller) and though there was some sort of federal program to ban people falling in love.

Or the years I though Golden Chain trees produced a powerful drug, because I got laburnum (the tree) mixed up with laudanum (the opium tincture)

Laud, my ability to hear tonins is nearly gone!

Any new word has to be handled like a tocin.

There is so much noise, it's like a Marimba band, Dog! Imma down to seeds and stems ...
