Around a 101 year old father so much recently, I have reason to reflect on my own thoughts, behavior and tendencies. Reason as in motivation rather than rationality.

A respected cousin from the other side of the family once told me that I have many of Dad's mannerisms. Sometimes I wonder how since Mom played such a central, important part in raising my brother and me. Still, Mom loved Dad and may have nurtured (tolerated) such behavior and tendencies.

Yet! Dad is so contrary!

Oh Dear.... I might have giggle when I read Dad is so CONTRARY! Scary sometimes when we see our parents in ourselves
