I was in Arizona week or so back ~ went for a nice couple days at good friends ranch ~ was hot ! ! ~ did I mention that I went ~ it was like a fortress ~ trees and fenced ~ well I don't want to repeat myself ~ I might have come by here and posted the adventure ~ but it does get some hot ~ but good hot ```

i'm ok with it getting hot as long as i can acclimate. heading back to the high 80s this weekend, very humid. going out now to do some digging to finish up burying the pea plant straw and then water because everything needs a good shot.

shade/trees in AZ give a break from the heat but also a wind-break which is important in an arid climate and also a help for gardens in general that plants that don't have to struggle against the wind can put more energy into production.

On a return trip from Houston I stopped at a Cracker Barrel restaurant to use the restroom. When I pulled into the parking lot there were not many parking spaces available. But right in front there was a couple of parking spaces available, with a sign that read ''For To Go Only.'' So I parked in one of them. I thought it was nice of them to reserve a parking spot for people who had to go.
