Never buy flowers from a monk...

Only you can prevent florist friars.

A couple was traveling though England when they got lost, and had to stay the night at a local monastery they found. The monks were very kind to them and, for dinner, served them some fish and chips that, when they tasted them, were the best fish and chips they had ever had.

The next morning, as they were leaving they couldn't help but rave about their dinner.
"That was the best fried fish we ever had!"
"Thank you" said the monk seeing them out
"And those chips, so perfectly crispy the were incredible. You should be proud"
"I am glad you liked them, but you have Brother Ambrose to thank for those, not me. I'm just the fish friar, he's the chip monk".

Looks like EVERY plant in my house. That's probably why the lima bean last year failed, Juniper chewed on EVERY leaf on it. He also reduced all of the plants in a get well basket to stubs over time. I'm convinced that the only reason the citruses, orchids, and African violets are in once piece is that Juniper doesn't like the smell (and, in the case of the citrus, doesn't want to deal with the thorns). He's also leaving the Delonix alone now (though he chewed it a lot when I first got it) so he's presumably bored with that as well.
