I try and take some paper notes on what I plant where, but when it comes to documentation around seed timings I suck. I do note some things in a few google docs with pics to help track what works and what doesn't, but I'm far from perfect

I answered yes and no. Just to even your poll out Journey. :p

Yes, I start out well, dates and varieties are marked down when I do the indoor starts, the garden areas are sketched out and labeled with what my intended plants will be in which areas. Then I leave the notebook in the house and plant where I think I remember I was intending to, add plants in empty spots, remember a better place for something or other.

I do actually look at my notebook later and kick myself for abandoning the orderliness of keeping records. But the truth is apparent that I am hopeless with these things.
Exactly what we do!
