Cat, don't the two emoticons indicate Larisa is teasing Nyboy. If he thinks his smile and cute face will allow him to sneak illegal items in or out of any country it's all on him. Besides, the Nyboy I know is too smart for such a risk.
I have bought plants back from England, you can't bring soil back. The night before returning I bare rooted then in bathtub.
I am so surprised that you can bring anything back. The rules for sending daylily to Europe are very strict. I have been told it takes so long in customs that plants end up dying.

I have a friend in England I have traded with. Perhaps we could work something out if members here NEED something from you. I am currently not in the needy catagory -- that is unless . . . . .
you have access to . . . . .
Cloud Berries (Rubus chamaemorus) seeds or plant cuttings. I have been dreaming of (and seeking) a source for them for many years. Ask anyone here.
Are they edible or decorative? What do they taste like?

Cat this was a few years back. As a matter of fact week before I left. Martha Stewart's magazine did several page story on plants she brought back. Thats how I knew it was leagle. I left a big tip for house keeping bathtub was a mess. The roots had to be free of any soil, I wrapped them in wet paper towel and planted the second I got home.

Soon the new season. I planted pepper. I usually sow in the ground and water. But now I'm dancing with tambourines. I soaked the seeds in HB101 (Japanese biodyne), H2O2, aloe juice for 24 hours before sowing.
And "without a tambourines» - H2O. I do not know who will be the first. Personally, I put on aloe.

You are way ahead of me. I need to force myself to wait on pepper and tomato and coles until about March 15th or they grow long and spindly. I can't put anything other than early seeds in the garden before May 15th or risk a normal frost.

I have lights for the plants. Tomatoes I will sow in late February. We have a short summer.
Some of the plants will be planted as a seedling, something I sow directly in the ground in May.
