I totally love the unique color of those Dragon Tongue Bean flowers. Which seed company did you get them from?

I'm not sure, but I'm kind of checking to see if "Oregon Giant", "Cascade", "Rattlesnake", and "Dragon Tongue" are all closely related varieties. I'm checking 2 separate Accessions of Rattlesnake this year.

I editted this because I accidentally left out the word flowers!

Wow mine are about the flower, but they aren't nearly that tall. Mine are mostly planted boss, some by me some by my chickens. I did plant some fancy ones, but not in a good place (appearantly) and they either didn't come up or died.

Random sunflower that popped up in the rock pile. It's probably the biggest at 5'+ tall.

I was given what I believe are Oregon Giant seeds, several years ago. They looked like what was being sold by a seed company that more recently, has gone out of business. Saved seed from those pole beans is around here somewhere, but I can't find it!

I think Territorial Seed sells Cascade Giant and says that it was developed from Oregon Giant.

Last year, I bought a packet of bean seed from Ed Hume Seed. I saw the "Cascade Giant Type" on the front and looked no further. I actually didn't see that it says "Rattlesnake Snap (Pole)" on the front of the packet until I looked at it at home . I didn't know I was buying Rattlesnake . . . but, I wanted the Cascade.

The Rattlesnake/Cascade did just fine in my garden in 2011 and I'll have it again this year. I like the other one that I had for about 5 or 6 years now - really appreciate the "beany" flavor! I still want to try growing Cascade . . . am I already :/?
