I have gotten quite a bit done (for me, anyway), in the last couple days and I really like the way things are looking right now so I thought I would share some pictures!

My main garden in the backyard (I have yet to plant the beans and squash with the corn in the back):

My "salsa garden" in front. Once I get rid of the rest of the grass in this section, I will be planting more stuff. The kids in the background are planting strawberries:

My youngest helping me plant the corn in our Three Sisters section:

Flowers on the plum tree out front (I have garlic planted in the ring around this tree):

A flower from our nectarine tree also out front:

Nice pics! You must be someplace a little bit warmer than I am. Your kids look like they're really having fun. That's great!

Yep, I am in southern California. Not my prefered place to live but it is rather nice that I can garden year-round. I just wish that I had more space to put plants.

Man.....looks great. AND, looks like you got some mighty fine lookin help, too.........bet they work cheap
Sure, if you can deal with the whining... "Are we done yet? Can I go back inside now? Do I have to do this?"

Actually my youngest really enjoys helping most of the time. He takes it upon himself to help with the watering and even helps weed a fair amount of the time. He likes planting the most though. My oldest is the one who acts like it's torture to hold a spade.

Nice garden! Love the blooming trees!
When I was younger I hated gardening and working outside - now it's all I do and I LOVE it! LOL:D
