I have a 12 place setting of Polonaise by Noritake and all the extra pieces that go with it. I no longer have a china cabinet and it is in boxes in my closet.

Mom watches it at times and has even requested the DVDs from the library for extra fun. the first time she watched it (many years ago) and i was here i told her there wasn't enough alcohol in the world for me (i don't drink very often, but living with that lady would do me in quickly). i listen to it (as usual) in the background while i'm puttering on the computer or whatever so i catch bits and pieces of it. same with Red Green...

We sold my humongous dining table and china cabinet when we moved. Somehow, it just doesn't sound cost effective to knock out a wall and add on a formal dining room so I can display my china.

if i can pine for a mansion for my model railroading and bean sorting glassworks emporium you can pine for an extra room for a cabinet and table and have all your china spotlit with these new fangled LED lights they're making.

I'm actually looking for a cheap trunk so I can store my hord of plates. My best friend thinks it's halarous that I am not capable of leaving a thrift store without at least a couple of dishes that catch my eye... and that - as a single person who is practically a hermit - I have SEVERAL 8 place setting sets of dishes. None are 'valuable' (other than Grandmother's china) but they make me smile.
