Do you have any old oak trees. If so can hang from sturdy branch .
The entire place was clear cut about 20yrs ago - just a few years before we bought it. Every tree on the place was about 8'tall when we started clearing pasture, yard, etc. There are only a couple of good hardwoods in the yard, but they're not in good places for a swing. One is tucked in between the fence and gate, another is on the corner of the side porch... And - although they're growing nicely, the biggest horizontal branches are about the size of my arm. :oops:

If you like the spot, put it there. I keep looking for a good deal on a cement or a wrought iron seat to put under these two arbor vitae that volunteered and are now over 20 ft tall. I have sat there with a folding chair and like the spot. Good luck with your project and try to get it done before the snow flies!! :hugs

That space looks level enough to do the glider swing idea. Much,much easier and cheaper than the sinking of large posts and also more versatile. Can move it anytime you wish.
