It may seem pointless but there are a LOT OF LEAVES every Fall. They live on a 1/4 acre+ (corner lot) with very old and tall city trees that dump lots of leaves every year.
A kind neighbor mowed their lawn and leaves a few years back and that REALLY helped.

i was talking about the deep litter method or using leaves in other ways. to me leaves mean leaves 'em alone... :) for those who want to keep a lawn then all the raking and mowing and chopping, etc. makes sense. just not to me... :)

oh, and as a p.s., for those trying to grow woodland flowers some of them prefer the leaves be left alone (trilliums are one of them for sure).
