Oh this brings back memories. 
I used to have a hamster growing up. I spent all my money on that beast for the two years of its life. By the time he passed away, he was up to three cages, tunnels that went all over my room, and a viewing tower that lead up to my window so he could look outside. I also took him for regular walks outside in his hamster ball. Sure wish they lived longer!
