Yup, you have been busy!

:th:th:th

Oh, did I mention I have NO bed to sleep on? Dad was able to carve me a tiny space open in her sewing room. It had been piled high to the ceiling with sewing projects & supplies. She did many many crafts and had one of those huge expensive embroidery machines. It took my sister 6 weeks to find the floor.

I enjoy reading Google archive newspapers from years ago.

Sometimes that is research on family members, like information on my Great Uncle's high school graduation, from right about the year 1900. About the same time was a story on a homestead lottery and my Great Grandfather among others gaining allotments. (An open question was why he didn't decide to "prove up" on that land.)

Today, I was just reading a newspaper from January 1, 1920 and what its editorial board thought of the previous year and the prospects for the future, including advice for President Wilson (on his "high horse").

Anyway, other than these historically significant stories ;), the papers are FULL of all sorts of other stuff. What the students are doing in their classes, who has visitors. Even, who stopped by at someone's house for a cup of tea on a Sunday after church :). Love it!

Steve
