So I too have access to figs and want to preserve them. How about fig recipes?

So I too have access to figs and want to preserve them. How about fig recipes?

I don't like fig preserves, that's why I use the strawberry jello (post 9) and I mix them with other fruit as well. Maybe there is some one else out there that makes just fig preserves and can post their recipes. Oh, I tried dehydrating them, but to me at least, they tasted like dirt with extra crunch.
