down at work they were short 2 drivers this week one sick the other vacation. so got volunteered to drive..grrrrr forgot how much i hated getting up at 2 am and doing 15 hours of driving and slinging tires all day. the loses ones are great to stack can get them 9 high that 9th is all i can give to get it up there, now the mounted ones are a witch you have to stair step them after 4 high and can only get them 7 high..

was told that they did not need me to drive today, so added up my hours told the g/m where i was it on them, all she could say was have a great 4 day weekend.. out the door i went slept till 8 this morning.

that end of the business is for the young people, been living on advil all week.

a nice rainy day to stay home....

called my mom this morning & she said dad had been working this week. :hu wait...what?!? he's retired! i'm thinking. then i remember that he's been working with a local mechanic on some Honda bikes off & on. seems he got a project earlier this week that has taken him more time to fix than he thought. when i left this morning around 9:30 (had the late schedule today) i saw his car at the shop when i drove by.

my day went on & work decided they would let us leave at 4 so got my papers done, signed out of the phone system & ran out the door! driving through the migrating traffic full of tourists, campers & new college students i decided to see if dad was still working when i went by.

yep! he's still there trying to get some finishing stuff done. came into the shop & said hi & took a look at some of the bikes they are working on. nice Honda Goldwing trike he's working on for a woman. but he's decided he won't be buying one again unless they do something about the rear axle design. i'm sure he was glad to get out of there tonight.

we call it 'puttering' but tinkering is the same thing. usually it is when you could do it at your own leisure, & usually it is something you enjoy.

@majorcatfish i hope you have a relaxing weekend getting to putter around you gardens.
