I Come to the Garden Alone
Deniece Williams
I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am his own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known
2.He speaks, and the sound of his voice is so sweet
The birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He give to me
Within my heart is to ringing.
And He walks with me and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am his own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known
I stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me is falling.
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.
And He walk with me and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

I was just thinking of this song! It's my Mama's favorite! I can hear her singing it now.

I've loved that song since I was a little girl. Recently I heard a preacher say how much he loved it, but it had an error in it....I never thought about it until he mentioned it, but I would have to agree. We don't come to the garden alone....He is always with us. :love
