Oh, I have no doubt of that, NOW. But we are talking about the 1500's-1600's. A lot fewer people thought about their dogs that way. You would have to be pretty well off to keep an animal just for the sake of keeping it ( I am well aware that some rich people back then kept private menageries, but those were status symbols). And even if you COULD, most rich people preferred dogs they could get something out of, like hunting help.Many dogs that were once useful are house dogs now.
He has been doing great. Watching him run and play, you’d never know he had hip dysplasia and the surgery. He cannot stand on his hind legs or jump very high to get on a trailer or anything, but he can jump on a low flatbed so I always do that with him. He made one fantastic guard dog, he’s super with the lambs. He has trained Sheba and they are a working pair. He is an awesome dog.@baymule how has Sentry been doing?
