@Collector ! Is it Spring?!

For me, 8 hours in bed occurs maybe once every 4 - 6 weeks. Of course, I will have been up several times.

Two hours only would add to the pain ... well, it might be mental pain, fog, confusion. Four hours is not uncommon and 6 can be hoped for. Physical pain inhibits sleeping but it inhibits any inactivity. It's there to a greater or lesser extent but I nearly always fall asleep quickly when changing from vertical to horizontal. Horizontal allows more choices, side to side to side but I exhaust those choices. I think the only way for me to escape pain is to escape gravity but I am thinking of standing on my head in the corner and seeing how that works.

I am in that boat also lol. Even when I get several hours of sleep I am frequently waking up trying to find a comfortable position.

My to-do list has been causing me a lot of restless nights here lately. Not like it's anything major, I just tend to obsess about it at night then wonder the next morning why I was so silly. Think I'm going to have to get something for anxiety to take the edge off. I don't remember ever doing that before. :\ Fitbit says my sleep is very choppy and irregular too. Had to quit looking at it since I never get a good report.

Last night I came home from work fed my dogs and went to bed. To my surprise I fell asleep right away ( never happens). I did wake up a few times but got hours more sleep then I normally do. I feel great today :weee:weee:weee:weeeOf course the chocolate covered strawberries in edible arrangement might help.
Try taking magnesium 2 x a day.

What tossing!?

My turning fits into the "palliative performance" scale! I like to think that I joined simply disabled people there rather than the usual reference.

Sure, I can gather my strength and "toss" myself out of bed and I'm likely to go flat on my face on the floor ..!

Steve

i wonder if i'd sleep better on the floor ... hmmm.

See if you had serious nerve damage, Nyboy, you would be frozen in place until sleep becomes impossible ...

Trying to keep a positive attitude towards this:

I can look forward to a time when someone will help me turn over. Request! Make that every 30 minutes, please. And, don't wake me while you are doing it! Humming something soft and sweet would be nice. Make it in a contralto because I'll hear that best and it will fit in better with my pleasant dreams. Oh! And, don't forget to wish me "Pleasant Dreams!"

Sentimental Steve
