No picture and no name yet, but I will be having a granddaughter! They did the gender reveal tonight. I have said she was having a girl from the very start. The daddy of the baby and his brother, me and my best friend said girl, everybody else has said boy even her friends said boy. She really looked shocked when she realized she was having a girl. The baby will be the first born daughter of a first born daughter (DD), of a first born daughter (me), of a first born daughter (my mother) of a first born daughter of a first born daughter and may go back another generation. I have to do some research on Ancestry.com.

Congrats on the grand daughter! That first born daughter thing you got going on is quite the family tradition!

Thank you for the idea! I went back and came up with this from my family. I'm Barbara, btw.

Mother (Charlotte) doesn't remember if her mother's mother had a girl first. That is, she doesn't remember if Hannah was Grandmother Fahrer's first child or not. Somebody might know...

First Born Daughters - that is, the first child of each woman is a female.
Hannah, born 1903, had Charlotte.
Charlotte, born 1930, had Barbara.
Barbara, born 1955, had Diana.
Diana, born 1986, had Sydnee
Sydnee, born 2006.....will she have a daughter as a first born?

We have a similar dynamic I my husbands family. The youngest son ONLY has boys! For as far back as they can trace the family tree. It will be fun to see if Trenton my youngest son's youngest will have boys someday!

The onesie he is wearing is 3-6 month old. He will outgrow it before he 2 months old. He sure is a good boy so far.

First Born daughters which were the first born child.
Sarah Alice, born 1877, had Donna Marie.
Donna Marie, born 1898, had Alice Joyce.
Alice Joyce, born 1915, had Mary Ann.
Mary Ann, born 1955, had Rachel Ann.
Rachel Ann, born 1993, had Baby girl ?
Baby Girl, born 2018, had daughter first born?

Murphysranch, I only have 1 more than you, unless Hannah was a first born daughter. I thought Sarah Alice was an only child, but found out she had a sister who was a first born daughter, so mine has to start with my grandmother Donna Marie. You and I were both born in 1955.

We kept our 3 year old and 18 month old grand daughters this past weekend. The 18 month old, #3, LOVES the sheep! She tore through the Sheep lot, fist bumping the Sheep. This terrified them and they ran. Shrieking in delight, she chased them.

The next day, a wether got fed up with it and shook his head at her. Our Great Pyrenees, Paris, materialized out of nowhere and got between them, averting a head butting. Paris loves her Sheep, but she loves the grand babies more.

She scaled a cow panel like a monkey, trying to get back in with the sheep.

The 3 year old, grand daughter #2, lives to come to our place and play in the sand. She spent hours making us cookies, pizza and all sorts of goodies. Here she is making us a birthday cake. Our dog Parker, stole the stick she used for a candle.
