Look at that face. How could you say no?
Last summer I had a grope of teenagers stop by my farm.

A grope of teenagers is a very funny way to put it and perhaps also very fitting. :)

They all spoke at once about buying chicks at the local Tractor Supply.....And I said, "So you brought them home and your Mom said no." And the store would not take them back. Weather they were directed to my house or not, I was in no position to add chicks to my flock. And my family life was crowded and chaotic. My neighbor across the street had had a big chicken kill from a wild animal and I knew she was low on birds. SO I directed them to her house. I got a laughing, yet exasperated call soon after. And I told her, "You were supposed to say no!" But in my heart I knew she would take them. She was thinking that her time might be coming to an end with chickens, but her husband was not ready to give them up. There is a local farm group on face book where I could have helped her get rid go them. She did end up raising them, and I can hear those girls squawking away as they lay their lovely eggs.

Today was the day for the ultrasound and I have a grandson going to be born in early Aug. I was pretty sure DD is having a boy. She acts different than with the girls. She sent the ultrasound picture and I could tell by the face a boy, but she would not tell me boy or girl until the girls went home and they turned a box over and blue balloons came out. Evelyn looked like she was going to cry. She said but sisters are my favorite. LOL She thought was going to be a girl, but they finally got her to smile. Pictures of them today. I watched them and I was going nuts waiting for them to come pick the girls up and do the balloon video.

Here is the latest picture of Thomas he just turned 4 a three weeks ago. He has come down with a mystery illness in the last few weeks and has lost a lot of weight and is miserable and no diagnosis from Drs. He has been to the ER to have IV put in for fluids because he cannot keep anything down not even water. He and our daughter stayed over last night and he took some new medication that I picked up at the pharmacy on my way home. He seemed to perk up some after the meds and his fever has seemed to break so we are hopeful that he is turning the corner and getting his health back.

He keeps getting cuter. It is so scary when they are sick. Hope he is already better.
