Depends on how it is cooked. I use mine in the broth, which means it is in the crock pot for maybe 10 to 12 hours. There's not much chewing involved with the gizzard then.

DH loves fried gizzards! I love fried chicken livers! There is a fried chicken restaurant chain called Hart's Chicken, closest one to us is about 30 miles away. Every time we go that way, we get a large order of each one. Then we "trade" back and forth. YUM!

I've cleaned out too many gizzards to give to the dogs to want to eat them. :/ I DO offer grit, so I have to clean that out before my dogs eat them.
