Gross Mistake

I've potted many a plant into an old white with red trim chamber pot. I think they make the most charming of planters and they have nice handles and most even have that nice wire and wooden handle for carrying them from one place to another. Never know what to do with the lids, though....

I might be the only one here who actually used to use those pots for their intended purpose and had the chore of emptying it most of the time. ;)

If you keep the lid on and don't let it mount up and if it's in the winter time and you keep Pine Sol applied to it it's not horrible....but, no, any time there's a bathroom under the bed it's not a pleasant thing.

I knew a family that used two toilet bowls as planters on their porch steps. They painted them brick red, but they still looked like toilet bowls.o_O

This is the kind we used and I later found some and used as planters. I find them to be quite functional and quaint....

This is just the plain Jane, hillbilly kind, but I'm betting NY found the actual chamber pots used by city folk back in the day....a lot of those were very lovely! And they DO look like soup tureens! :D

I'm sorry. They can't get up and use out house? Dang that's lazy.

As my g'pa would say, animals crap in their stalls.....said this over and over as his sons' installed inside bathroom for their mom.

Yep...until you've had to use an outhouse when the seat has frost on it and the temps are below zero, don't knock it. Especially for little kids and older folks.
