i've found over the years that bigger gardens are much less work than a lot of smaller ones. all those edges to keep up and things in the way... i also like having less pathway space wasted.

looks so nice there and fun too. we can tell your heart is into it. :)

For me maintaining my garden is very easy. Sadly I have no weeds cause every day I look for one and on the rare occasion I find it I pull it out. The paths have to be there and that wide for my preschoolers to ride their bikes.

The one thing that does get in the way is the low wrought iron fencing around the beds. I have to be carefull that I don't trip over it when I go in which I have done before. But it has to be there to keep the bikes from accidently getting into the beds. My water fountain also has a 5' wrought iron fence that Licensing requires around it. It does make it diffucult when I have to get in there to prune or clean up. But overall I have managed to work with the requirements and both kids and I are happy.

Almost done and I think it’s too big! What do you think? It’s 4x10. Before and after pics to give you an idea. 18” deep.

It looks better now. Do not tell your sweet husband you think it's too big, even if you think it is. Give him a big hug and tell him it's perfect. ;)
Ooops I already did. But I told him I wanted to think about it but most people would say coops and garden beds can never be too big.

That’s what he was doing when he went MIA this morning.

Do you think it’s too big? Honestly

Mary
