All day I have been laughting, but last night I was frightened. I have been over worked since begining of Dec, last night I was going to country house for relaxtion and rest. In the middle of Dec I had the alarm system upgraded, this was first time dealing with new system. The country house was never wire for phone, because I am only there a couple nights a month I just use my cell. My cell works 98% of the time. As soon as I unlocked and open door I knew I was in trouble, a new key pad with no numbers was installed. Trying to figure out new pad alarm went off,after many trys I got the right code to turn off. ADT called me asking for my safe word, a safe word is a word only known to me that lets ADT know its me and I am safe. I gave my safe word and said everything is ok, then my cell dropped the call. I went to call ADT back but had no service, I figured I gave them safe word and said all ok and just forgot about it. I decided to start night with a nice long bath. I turned on some music lite some candles and openned a bottle of wine. As the tub was filling I put on a clay facial mask to detoxi face. Mask goes on black when it drys to grey time to wash off. I had just covered my face in black clay when there was a knock on my door.None of my friends knock everyone just walks in. I had no choice but to throw on a ratty bathrobe and anwer door Opening the door I don't know who was more shocked me or the 4 state troopers with guns pointed at me !!! We just looked at each other for what seemed like mintues finally I said can I help you ? The trooper in front said are you the home owner Alex L. I paniced a second thnking what did I do now . Said yes thats me, He said my alarm company called them. I said thats crazy I have a new key pad and told company my safe word and everything was ok. Trooper said well they called in a armed home invasion we have to make sure this is not a hostage sitution. He did not say if I was being held hostage or if I was holding hostages. Trooper then said may we come in and search. With 4 guns out I wasn't going to say no to anything they asked. 3 troopers sayied with me in kitchen while 4th searched my house. I guess in my kitchen I didn't apper much of a threat, on one was looking at me, all 3 where staring at the floor.This struck me as very funny and I started to laught. That must have broke the ice one of the guys asked me what is all over your face? Before I could reply the youngest one ( I think a rookie) pipes out it s a beauty mask!! When his 2 co workers looked at him he quicky added his wife uses them LOL. They did say they where sorry if they scared me and I got to take a bath afterward.
