Speaking of pods, we went out to the field to discover dried, skeletonized tomatillos. They are gorgeous. I'm going to make some into Christmas ornaments. I'll try and get some pictures.
All I did was put the potted pepper plants in my storage room. It is a very nice double red brick room off the carport with access to the backyard. When it gets below 35 at night, I put them in there and they seem to do ok.
