Halloween ..!

Happy Holloween everyone !!! Yesterday the heavy rains started about 3:30 pm... a little rain didn't dampen the local kidos in their quest to scare the populace into contributing to their sugar high addictions. Started by our neighborhood boys showing up in rain coats and umbrellas to raid at 5:00 PM SHARP dressed as fireman, zomby, policeman, and bulldoze driver. Followed by over 200 of assorted boys as zombies, football players, firemen, astronauts, etc.. Most of the girls ( like 75%) were princeses and witches followed by show girls and zombies or skeletons.

We only saw 10 or 12 childern.

My wife baught 4 HUGE bags of candy at Costco... when all of the kiddos were done trick or treating we had 3 pieces left wich somehow dissapeared in a flash !

We usually get only between 10-15 kids. Yesterday we got only 4. Told my husband that next year I was not going to give out candy. I'm going early to the parties we've been invited instead.

We just had a call from our #3 5 year old in Kindergarden grandson in Cal. ... He dressed up as a zomby while his 2 year old sister was a princess. They made out like bandits by hitting a large apartment complex of 200 apartments. It was like talking to an adult over the phone instead of a 5 year old as he spoke in long complete sentences and used proper words in his descriptions of last night's raiding. None of the slang stuff. And they had FUN !!!

We had loads of treats and only had two small groups of kids come through the neighborhood, perhaps ten kids in total. Not at all like it used to be.

We had one ( maybe 13, 14, or 15 ? year old girl zonbie dressed in a night shirt ,white face makeup , and an open "knife wound" with dried blood running downward at the top of her chest that was not covered by the night shirt ... I excitedly asked her in a woried look on my face if she needied a band aid and first aid as well as a call for an ambulance ... her 5 friends roared into laughter and explained that she was already dead and is actually a zomby.
