Theeerrre was my problem . . . rheumatoid arthritis. The flare-ups that began when I was 7, subsided thru my 30's (after nearly killing me in my 20's) and finally stopped in my 40's. But, not before one leg was paralyzed. (Notice how we take ownership of our decades - "my" 20's, "my" 30's, etc.? Paid a fairly high price sometimes, eh?

I even blame hearing loss on rheumatoid arthritis. Maybe we can blame this nation's economic mess on it, too.
