I love that, @canesisters. Strange that babies know such a simple fact and adults so often forget it. Oh, yes, the youngster did say, "people forget ya know".

I keep reminding DH that it is okay to forget things from time to time as long as he remembers this one important thing -- I love you. If he remembers only that, the rest is merely an inconvenience.
