January 1st, 2012 I can't believe in Mattapoisett, Ma. zone, 6, I was weeding and mulching my daylilies today. 44 degrees and the ground is still soft. No hard freeze yet. It should be 20 degrees and frozen solid. I will remember this new years always.

Our weather is real warm for the New Years Day also, Catjac!

I can't say that we haven't had some hard frost and there have been many days when the thermometer didn't rise above freezing, but still . . .

Our White Christmas has passed and it's almost a Green New Year! Tomorrow, there's a 30% chance of rain/snow and a high of 39F. It looks like we are having a very mild, first 2 weeks of winter!

Here is hoping for the very best of weather and everything for all of the TEG gardeners in 2012 :rainbow-sun!

Steve
