Same here, quiet night watched a couple of episodes of All Creatures Great and Small then lights out, woke up at midnight someone in the neighborhood was letting off fireworks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!! Annette , in our neighborhood ... the entire skyline was ablaize with fireworks at midnight celebrated by individual homeowners.

@bobm , fireworks have been banned here for a number of years but a few still let them off come hell or high water. The two exceptions are during the May day celebrations, (Queen's Birthday), but that is no longer politically correct and Bath tub weekend when there's a fireworks display in the harbor.

Now you have me looking up Slavic calendars......got an English translation?

I do not think it can be found in English. It Slavo - Aryan Vedas or Book of Wisdom of Perun. (Not the Indian Vedas) Then, "Book of Veles". Alternative history, which is written on the golden tables (first source). Part found in Romania in 1875, during the construction of farm buildings for the monastery of the 17th century. It was found about 400 plates with ancient writings. Romanian King Charles I ordered melted most of these plates, to replenish his empty coffers.
