Nice! If they turn out to be really big squash or pumpkins, and they form up there, you may want to support them with something more substantial like a tall stool or a wood platform.

hmmm, you're probably right... I wonder now if I will be able to support a very large fruit with just panty hose... I may have to make a "sling" from a more sturdy type of fabric. Thanks for the idea...

I'd just build some kind of a stand under it if it gets really big. Four 2x4's with cross pieces screwed together for legs, and a piece of plywood on the top.

Oh! That reminds me. Isn't there going to be a giant pumpkin contest this year?
