Actually just for fun this year I planted one of those huge bakers. I planted it whole, didn't even cut it up, it's stake says "Giant Costco Russet" or something like that. Not quite as big as the one on that trailer, but pretty darn close!

Mary- of course being in Idaho makes all the difference! We just hafta stand out in the garden and chuck 'em over our shoulder! :lol:

Woohoo nice taters! I planted some standard yukon gold (and something purple....um, not the purple viking...argh, what is it...), and dug one plant just 2 nights ago for dinner. Success! The yukon gold gave me 3 very nice size potatoes (probably also the size of your cell phone, Thistle), and 3 smallish ones. And they were delicious!
