A big Happy Thanksgiving to the TEG family!

I hope that all of your days are going well. I don't know about the rest of you, but I had to drag myself up the stairs to get to my desk. I must of gaining 5 lbs so far, and the day isn't even over yet!

The table is cleared, the kitchen clean, the family has left and grandma's dishes are back in the hutch. The BIG day will soon be over except for the memories and a few stained linens.

I hope my TEG family had a great Thanksgiving Day (or soon will) filled with the fellowship of friends and family. This is the time of year we most miss loved ones that are gone and often remember them with special recipes or table settings.

If you are traveling, be safe. If you are preparing for Black Friday shopping, be careful. Take time this busy season for yourself and give yourself a big, warm hug from Smart Red.

We're back home from my sister's house. It was a gorgeous day, clear blue skies, low 60's, sunny and we lounged around on their deck like fat lizards on a hot rock after our Thanksgiving dinner! It's a great day to celebrate family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving friends!
We had a great time with the friends that came. Much hilarity ensued and we were helpless and at the mercy of the cutest little almost 2 year old that I have ever met. My face actually hurt from laughing and smiling.
We got dads old Aggravation board out and played a game for him.
Such a warm day we had the windows open, somewhere in the low 50's.

Well... the long day of cooking and visiting with family is done. The dishes are washed and the house is mostly put back together. There is a turkey carcass simmering away in the crock pot for broth to can and a fridge full of leftovers.
Hope everyone had a LOVELY day of giving thanks.

@baymule ...we broke a 1930 record temp for Thanksgiving day ...it was 0 in the am, high of 10. My son deep fried a turkey, in the snow in the driveway... he didn't seem to mind the cold but I sure could have enjoyed a day in the 60s!

We had a great day... ate too much, and then had pie, and another glass of wine ..
Son's new girlfriend came to meet the family. She's SO nice, good for him too! She helped with ALL the dishes ... said her parents would be ashamed if she didn't help out... right there, a keeper! I told her she was always welcome, and she could bring her boyfriend along if she wanted.
ALSO .. the big reveal! .. Next grandbaby will be a GIRL! ... yay .. coming in March!

Very thankful for friends, family and grandbabies!
