yesterday went to the dmv at lunch to get my license renewed, of course having a class "a" can not do it over the computer.
it was a 2 hour wait...bzzzzz drove over there after work...bzzzz
decided to go first thing this morning, got there 7:40 am there was 10 people waiting already waited in line till they opened 8 am, got my number b301 sat down seemed like the whole alphabet was used except for b. finally b301 was called 9 am.
went to the station told him<a very nice gentleman> i was here to renew my license ok he filled out the paperwork. asked for my medical card was pulling it out when he said he could look it up on the computer..ok
he said you know you have been driving on a suspended license...excuse me
showed him my medical card<that i renewed in January> explained to him that i faxed to the number in the ncdmv form.
he made a copy of the card and sent over to raleigh, he explained that it could take up to 4 hours for them to recertified me...ok ...
at 10:20 am he came out to the lobby and called me...everything is good now. finished up the paperwork did the eye, sign test, took my photo. asked to review everything on the monitor had to break out the reading glasses. he asked do you wear glasses... no just to read the fine print....
asked him if we could the photo over..he laughed handed him $100 he printed out my temporary license.
at this point he did say happy early birthday from one fool to another....he has the same birth date as i, we shook hands....yeah i edited it.......
at 11:05 am was out the door.....
