Here in Kentucky (zone 6) my mother had a huge oak cut down 10 years ago and it was $1,200 and not they didn't take the tree nor grind out the stump (if you grind up the stump compost it and it'll be a great mulch later). As far as hellebores, I have 2, not sure the name, a pink one and a green that turns almost white and then pink tinges. They get burnt up even in morning sun here or will just not bloom so I have mine in shade, gets light but not direct light and they are in bloom now. I need to go and cut back all the old tattered foliage (I do that while its blooming).

Here's the tree to be removed. Half is dead, even the live side is dropping branches.
Chainlink fence is 5ft tall, about 12ft behind the tree.

They start out a deep burgundy but open to soft pink, then age to earthy rose shades. Flowers rise above the foliage, so they are never hidden, and they face outward, creating maximum interest. Keep soil amended with compost and leaf mold.
