Hey all! I'm a new member from Kentucky (Zone 6B) who found this site through BackyardChickens, and I'm very excited to be here.
I (along with my parents) cultivate a large vegetable garden that is organic and that we use the no-till method on. It includes things like tomatoes, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, four different varieties of peppers, watermelons, okra, pilgrim beans, horseradish, asparagus, bok choy, cauliflower, cabbages, spinach, kale, shard, broccoli, potatoes, cucamelons, onions, garlic, cantaloupes, and musk melon. In addition to this, we have strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry patches, a cottage style flower garden, 2 grape vines, and an orchard that is made up of 3 pear trees, 3 apple trees, and 3 fig trees-- And we plan on getting more apples, plus buying some Nanking cherries and nut trees. I also love houseplants, and currently have 23 and counting.
We also own 3 dogs and 12 chickens, and I personally am a professional book cover photographer that loves writing.
But yeah, hi everyone 👋

:welcome from Central IL! I am growing a native Kentucky columbine. Many planted that have reseeded themselves along the east side, north side and front sidewalk beds from some original volunteer. Bird probably planted the first one. VERY pretty purple flowers.
Thanks for putting your location with your avatar!
Check out the photo on my thread, #124, that DD took with her Samsung.
WATCH OUT for the "bean rabbit holes" here! :hide
