I posted a pic of one of my flower gardens, its not great, but these are my summer flowers. Lots of echinacea, black eyed Susan, Liatris, and gladiola. I have a honeysuckle vine growing up the deck, a sweet pea vine that blooms in both pink and white. That is this one garden . I will post more when I can get a better shot!

Don't put yourself and your garden down. The place is lovely, peaceful, calm, and relaxing to the eye and spirit, @ Christina E. Your flowers are beautifully wild and free as English Cottage gardens tend to be. Nothing formally English in my dream garden:

English Cottage Garden

Helter-skelter flowers grow
In radiant disarray
And call to deep within one’s breast,
“Come pause a while. Come stay.”

The scent of lavender and rue,
Of hyssop, tansy, sage,
Imbue the air with soft allure
That serves to set the stage

For riotous blooms of color
From plants of timeless age
Whose tops sway gently in the wind
And once were all the rage.

Here, peonies nod neighborly
And brighten up the way
Unknowing that their fruiting seeds
Will serve as snacks one day.

There, tall, blue-spired delphiniums
Stretch up to kiss the sky.
How did they come to grow just there?
I’d never question why.

Lovingly tended cherry trees
Espaliered by the gate
Become a treat for beasts and me
Provided I’m not late.

My garlic’s playing hide and seek.
Leeks dance with Columbine.
Sir Parsley partners Queen Anne’s Lace
And brews up dandelion.

A drift of noble hollyhocks
Sway regally in the breeze,
The trailing rose beside my door
Grows up to meet the trees.

Beside the spice-sweet scent of pinks
That edge a shady nook
Amid the busy buzz of bees,
I’d sit and read a book.

It's flowers growing where they may
With not one “Beg your pardon!”
This world of colors, scents, and sounds -
My English cottage garden.

Here is the vegetable garden. My husband and I build all of the rock walls along our gardens using Pennsylvania flat stone. You can see on the left is the asparagus. It just grew into trees as it gets later in the season. We had a wonderful crop in the spring and early summer. Behind the asparagus are 2 cucumber vines...I have never been lucky with cukes, but this year seems to be going very well so I am excited about those. I am growing the Straight Eight variety. Directly in the front are 2 varieties of parsley (flat and curley) and Basil. And to the right are 4 Sweet 100 variety cherry tomatoes. We have done so well with the cherry tomatoes that we don't grow the large varieties anymore. The 4 vines are more than enough. I still have canned and frozen soups, sauces, and whole tomatoes from last year that I am almost done using. I also have 2 apple trees (not shown) one is a Honey Crisp, and the other is Golden Delicious. We hatched some orchard bees to pollinate our apple trees and we have some apples growing.
