Hello from Tipton Ford Mo, I am a new member and I am just beginning on this journey and am very excited to be included. I am hoping to learn as much as possible about gardening and maintaining my yard around my garden. I am recovering from a really bad car accident in March 2017 where I broke 35 bones and some bones were multiple breaks. I am just excited to be able to start things that will have a positive influence on my life and those around me. If anyone has any advice for me, feel free to message me and talk to me about this. I am hoping to learn a lot of really awesome stuff not to mention useful.!!!!

:frow Howdy, neighbor! I'm just south of you across the border a bit south of Fayetteville. On here that's practically next door.

Jump right in and enjoy yourself. Comment on any of the threads or start some new ones. Ask questions. Just make yourself to home.
Thank you for being so neighborly. I am excited to be here.

We don't have to message you to offer advice or be encouraging. We're pretty open here and a better bunch of friendlier people on the internet would be hard to find. We absolutely love new people and we love to help new gardeners get started, helping all along the way.

Bless your heart, big hugs to you. What an experience you have had and I pray that you have a full recovery. From what you describe, it could take awhile to really get over it. There could be no better therapy than working in your garden. I am 62 and one of my earliest memories is toddling behind my Daddy in his garden, yet I still get excited over the miracle of a seed sprouting out of the earth.

Do you already have a garden area or will you be starting out brand new ground? What soil do you have? Clay, sand, loam, good soil or lousy soil? What vegetables/flowers do you plan on planting?

We are delighted to have you here and can't wait to hear more about you and your garden!

:frowA great big welcome from me too. Hoping you have a complete recovery, you sure have been through it. You will find gardening is very therapeutic, some things you might not be able to do but what you can will be very rewarding even if challenging. Sometimes I think Ibuprofen has becoming my best friend, that and and my trusty ice pack :).

Agreed, you picked the right site!! I have dropped out of other forums bc of negativity. EVERYBODY here is REALLY helpful and encouraging.
I figure that if somebody doesn't like how I garden/maintain my yard and they don't live across the street from me OR pay my mortgage I don't care to listen to them.
Many people here dabble and some are very expert and some of us have tried the things that you want to do.
WELCOME!!! :welcome
Just understand...we WANT PICTURES!!!!! IT IS the law here. :D
