Hi everyone. Thanks for letting me join! I’m building the wife a 10x12 “Potting/greenhouse Shed“ (cause she LOVES to garden) for a Christmas present. I purchased the plans, but they details were pretty sparse… So looking for any guidance from anyone that may have a similar design. i just completed the foundation last weekend. Thanks for your time!

Mike

I build stuff, but it is generally constructed of what I have on hand and I fit what I'm building to the materials I have. LOL I'm also angle-cutting and measuring deficient, challenged in those areas. But what I build doesn't fall down, so must be doing something right.

You are actually using plans and new materials actually purchased for said purpose. Anything I contribute will only lead to chaos and confusion.

You are doing a great job so far, the floor isn't even tilted. LOL It looks to be a real nice potting shed, can't wait to see how it progresses.

Welcome again from Louisiana. Not sure what kind of details you are looking for but I don't have anything like that anyway. My only suggestion is to make the steps leading up to it wide, sturdy, and not too steep. You and your wife will be carrying a lot or stuff in and out. The older I get the more I appreciate good steps, especially when my arms are full and my vision may be partially blocked.

Copy, great feedback. Will make the entrance a nice transition. TY!

Lol… I hear ya. I’ve seen a few similar designs on the web, but think I have enough info to be dangerous. Wife always says I “over-engineer” everything so if it even comes close to the pics.., life is good. Probably take most of the winter to build but I’ll try and document for anyone that may want to go down this path in the future!

Cheers,
Mike
