Not really a good idea as to what the bush on the right is.....whatever it is the same thing was growing/taking over the whole side of the 2 story...we had no idea there was a door there. The only thing I have figured out so far is it grows like bamboo on thick stems with hollows but it is soft you can break it off with your hands, it grows tall about 6-7ft....and livestock seem to love it.

I was thinking from your description that it might be Bohemian knotweed.

That looks exactly like it, thank you very much!! Guess We will have to dig up the rhizomes to get rid of it by the 2-story. It needs to be cut back by the house and the back deck also has it trying to grow thru the stairs.

Glad you joined TEG! Lots of friendly folks here, just like BYH. Growing your own vegetables is a good idea, they taste so much better. You are in a good place to learn more about gardening.
