I had a problem with that particular type of plant being invasive in my garden. I finally made them their own plot and transplanted the lot behind a locked gate. It has worked wonders.
There WAS something growing in the pot...uhm...before the current plant.
I sprinkled some millet around to grow for the girls. It started to grow and I put it up on top of a hay bale so it would have a chance! Well my ever (not) helpful husband decides to rearrange things a bit, sat the pot on the ground...and that was the end of the millet!
I have almost that same planter in my run for my chickens. Mine is lighter green. They love to dig in their planters! - I have 5 now. Three big ones and 2 smaller ones. I sprinkled oats in the planters and they actually let a few sprout and grow.
