I would suggest leave it alone. It will bend back up and set brace roots at joints on ground. Will be challenging to pick but not that hard.

Leave it for a couple of days. When the soil starts to dry a bit pick it up and hill up some soil stepping around the base of the plant. If you leave them the tops will turn up to the sun and the plants will be a bit stunted.

Do not feel alone honeycomb,we got the same storm.
We have no power here at the house thank goodness we have friends on city water, so filled up 8 buckets of water
To flush with.
From what I gather the power is out in a majority of the triad area's
Well who knows when the power will come back on so will need to sign off now

I hope your corn is ok and that it decides to grow something for you to eat! Weather can be our friend or it can wipe us out. :hugs

The triad area still has 60k without power I'm one of them as of 9:45
And they do not know when it will be up......
It was a very fast and distuctive storm it had hail and very strong winds. Even took
A few shingles off the roof and a couple branches down here.

And on another note it was only 101 today on the way home.

Gheesh, Majorcatfish! 101 today? I hope it has cooled off enough to make it bearable. No power=no AC. :he
