If you have to go without power, I hope Mother Nature cooperates and keeps it cool for you. Hurricane Rita swept through here (3 weeks after the infamous hurricane Katrina wiped out 'Nawlins) and most of Houston evacuated in blind panic. A 2 hour trip took 28 hours and they ran out of gas in our town. No gas. No power. No grocery stores open. No Wal Mart. Nada. BUT we had 100 +++ degrees to add to the misery! And BIG swamp skeeters that flew in the open doors and windows to feast on us! And we had a lot of unhappy folks that realized their homes were safe and sound cause that bad 'ol hurricane went around Houston, now here they were stuck in a little Podunk town in the middle of nowhere. They went home, but it was weeks before we got power back on.
All that rain........are you sure you don't want to farm crawfish?
