:/...i have a young bluberry plant that is fruiting and its indoors cos of english weather...:/...but i dont know how many times to water it...help!:watering
I would check the soil with your finger and see if it is still moist under the surface. They do make these clay sticks (sometimes mushrooms) you can put in the soil that will change color when the soil is still moist. Try not to water it until the soil is on the dry side.
Also, blueberries like acidic soil.... so maybe every once in awhile, like 1 time a month.... add some used coffee grounds before you water! They really like that!
Put it outside in the rain. The rain water will do it much more good than tap water. We are having enough of it at the moment.
I would put some floating fleece or fine netting, held away from the plant by sticks, over the plant ( this will stop the birds from taking the berries).
Hope this helps! Thanks for putting your location in!
