When Major was a year old, he started digging. We could not keep him in a fence if we were not outside with him. He got where he would leave the yard after digging out. He almost got hit by a car. The car slammed on brakes, honking at him. He ran home and then got in trouble from me and my brother and then he never left the yard again. He lived to be 13. They are so stubborn, but if allowed to be part of a family or always with someone, they are amazing. When Major was 6 months old, he wanted to go to town with me and I told him no. When I came home, he had a pile of my clothes, my pillow, my sheets off my bed, and a hole in my favorite shirt. I could not believe it, and when I went to my room, he had pooped on my bed. This dog was housebroke when 6 weeks old. My parents and brother were home. No reason he did this other than to get even with me. When I saw my room, I turned around and he was running as fast as he could go to get to my mother to save him. Lol A lot of people would never have put up with this, but he never did it again, but I knew he could not be left alone. Years later, we had Haggler and he was about 6 months old and DH and I took DD to town, and left Haggler home. He did a smaller version of this, but we never left him alone at home again.
