It has really been cold here evenings! I had to break out my long sleeve shirts for the 45 degree evenings. (Grin)
Almost retired, but totally new to gardening.
Already received GREAT INFO in response to my first few postings, so this seems to be a great forum.

welcome from the frigid east coast! makes me wish i could garden most of the year like you can over on that coast! i just don't miss the earthquakes, mud slides and fires that seem to be common over there!

Welcome from the mid-west where we have all the climates. Especially in March and April, when we could have all of them in the same week. I love it (even when I am pitchin a fit because I can do a thing in the garden).

I grew up in Los Angeles, spent many summers in San Clemente camping on the beach. I so miss the Pacific Ocean!
