Hi, I just came here from the BYC. We just moved to the Northern California area near Redding. I have a degree in agriculture and used to work for a large nursery as a live nursery specialist ordering plants.

I love roses! Especially heirloom or antique roses. We have about 8 acres to work with here. There's lots of landscaping to do! I want to plant lots of fruit trees, build a small raised garden bed area and of course plant my 60+ roses I brought with me!

I used to pile the never ending gift you get from horses too!
But, I traded the horses for kids. Now I get the great gift from my chickens just not as much!

Welcome Northernrose :rose :rose :rose

:welcome

I'm in the southern part of the UK & I collect old climbing roses as well as clematis but I am rapidly running out of room. I look forward to some good chats on the forum.

I too came here via BYC because I now have about 20 chickens, mostly Dorkings.

A very happy New Year to you & everyone else on TEG.

Welcome to TEG, Northernrose :frow!

When I first became aware of the world, it was in my grandmother's garden in Redding. She had retired to a little farm there.

I even went to high school for a few years in Arcata. (I bet you have an idea where that community is ;).) Most of my growing-up time was in Jackson County, in southern Oregon.
